Alumni News Briefs

Linking In
Nearly 4,500 UW Oshkosh graduates from across the nation are connecting through the Alumni Association’s most popular social network—the alumni group on LinkedIn. As the world’s largest professional online network, LinkedIn reaches 200 million members worldwide. In addition, the association’s Mentor Network subgroup brings alumni and students together for professional development and career networking. In March, Mentor Network members got together at Pollock Alumni House to meet in person and learn more about the value of mentoring relationships.

“Staying connected is the ultimate goal of alumni relations,” said Amanda Betts ’10, chair of the Alumni Association’s Marketing Committee. “Using a network, such as LinkedIn, we can grow, learn and support one another in a secure professional platform that fosters connections. So get connected, stay informed and grow with your fellow alumni!”
