University of Wisconsin Oshkosh made history at the spring 2012 Commencement as four of the nearly 1,500 graduating students earned the University’s first-ever doctoral degrees. Carriveau and College of Nursing Dean Rosemary Smith advocate that the future of nursing lies with more working nurses returning to school to earn doctorates, which affords them equal status on healthcare teams across the nation.
